MAG Portal Troubleshooting on MAG Devices

The MAG device firmware is alive; the MAG portal URL is not. Paste a current MAG portal from a MAG portal test. Reboot once. If MAG 322 still dies, send a photo of the Portals screen on WhatsApp.

Buffering

MAG 254 on Wi-Fi dongle: suspect the dongle. MAG 256 W2 on 2.4 GHz through walls: suspect the walls. MAG 424w3 on 5 GHz next to the AP: then we look at MAG portal profile and line. Always MAG portal test before swapping MAG devices.

Portal field will not save

Remote in TV mode, full flash, or a locked operator image. MAG 275 and some MAG 322 units show this. Do not buy a MAG portal package until MAG 254/322 will persist the URL — WhatsApp first.
