MAG 349 is among the first Infomir MAG devices built to put 4K through a MAG portal, not a sideloaded APK.

A 4K MAG device still needs a 4K television, HDCP cooperation and a MAG portal that actually offers UHD where the source allows. MAG 349 will look ordinary if we handed it a MAG 254 playlist — we do not.
Ethernet is strongly preferred. MAG 351, MAG 352 and later MAG 424w3 are the family if you are shopping rather than reviving a MAG 349 you already own.
MAG portal setup
On MAG 349 set HDMI to UHD if available, then Portals → MAG portal URL → reboot.
