Dual-band Wi-Fi is the W2 story. Put the MAG 256 W2 on 5 GHz if the access point is in the same room; fall back to 2.4 GHz through walls. The MAG portal does not care which band you pick — your packet loss does.
As a MAG device it still outputs Full HD. Do not buy MAG 256 W2 expecting MAG 424w3 4K. Buy it because the MAG portal boots fast, the remote is MAG-familiar, and Wi-Fi is native.
